Belinda, Angela and Mike are the smiling faces behind our Permanent Recruitment team. Between them our lovely Perm Team have over 50 years of experience in the recruitment industry, and whilst all our consultants do a mix of work, these three specialise in finding you your next long term role and developing your career.
They spend a lot of time getting to know our clients and candidates in the interview rooms, but how well do you know them?

What is the most useless talent you have?
~ I am double jointed so I can bend my thumbs right down to meet my arm and also wrap all my fingers over the one before – attractive (not) and a great party trick.
What drives you crazy at work?
~ The wonderful smells that waft up from eateries around us in Smith Street that make you feel hungry again, even though you have already had your lunch!
What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?
~ A documentary called Expedition Happiness which is about a young German couple and their dog who document their travels in a converted American school bus. Great music and scenery and a reminder of when we could travel!
What is your favourite part of your job?
~ The interview rooms, helping people to work out their career, enjoyment and ££ goals. You do hear some really funny things though – can’t say what though of course!
How would you describe our OSA team?
~ Great – we have all worked as a team for a long time, good friends. A fun, friendly and kind team.
What movie or TV show title best describes your past week?
~ Outnumbered (TV series): Juggling family with busy job, navigating way through the daily obstacle course in the house which you had cleared the day before, tackling the daily supermarket shop in heels, compulsory exercise (as now 50+ years old) and mowing miles of grass ( not in heels). You can only laugh really!
What is your all-time favourite lunch?
~ Buffet sandwiches, sad but true – just love them!
Mike

~ Dedicated, fun, friendly and no one takes themselves too seriously!
Do you think Guernsey is a challenging place for a recruitment company, since its mostly finance related?
~ When you meet a great new candidate with a brilliant ‘non-finance based’ CV it can be initially frustrating, particularly when they clearly have so much to offer but they don’t have the obvious in demand skills and qualifications. However, I love a challenge and am a firm believer that the opportunities are out there, you just need to know where to look!
What are you most grateful for today?
~ Being lucky enough to live in Guernsey.
What cheers you up the most when you have a bad day at work?
~ Picking up the guitar and playing music with my band.
What is your all time favourite lunch?
~ A large bowl of Moules frites and a chilled Chablis.
