The past month has been incredibly strange to say the least, and the current economic and practical aspects of recruiting have meant changes to the Guernsey job market. At OSA our goal is to have the most reliable and honest information for our candidates so they can have a clear view of what career options are available to them. With that in mind we have updated our website with some new useful features to obviously mark which roles are currently active or on-hold.
All our jobs currently being recruited for, with interviews taking place remotely, are marked as 'Active' and are highlighted in yellow. These jobs are running as normal and are available for you to apply to right now! Roles that have been put on-hold as companies manage the coronavirus situation have been marked 'Paused' and are in grey. If you are interested in any of the 'Paused' roles please do still get in touch, as these roles will be up and running as soon as possible when the world gets back to normal.
Given the pandemic recruitment has still been on the whole positive, with many companies able to still interview and get new starters up to speed remotely. We have still been receiving positive feedback for CVs and employers remain eager to find great candidates.
We hope that this new feature on our website will allow you to keep informed in your job market and see with confidence what roles are currently available to you, and what roles will be coming available in the near future.
We want to work with you during this time, whatever your job situation may be, temp, perm or students, and to give you the advice and support you need. Whilst we are not in the office we are still on our usual phone number if you would like to talk: 01481 712891
As you are all aware Guernsey is now on lockdown and we wanted to reassure everyone that the whole OSA team are working remotely and the office space is closed.
Whilst in person meetings are no longer taking place, our work is still continuing: clients are still recruiting, candidates are seeking jobs and interviews are still happening - all done via email, calls, Skype, Zoom and Teams. Technology ensures everyone stays safe and the community is protected, but also means we can keep going even on lockdown, our new business as normal for now!
